Confirmed from Grantham Pointe (Light House)'s own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Beautiful park at the edge of a lake with paths and benches plus a playground.

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (474 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 4 mentions

“This park and any of the other parks we've visited in Lake County have been beautiful and well kept.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 12 mentions

“It's not your average lighthouse as it's quite small and you cannot climb through it however, it's location and surrounding areas are absolutely beautiful.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 4 mentions

“It is very interesting because the atmosphere was very quiet but you have signs all over the place warning you about snakes and crocodiles and we even saw one in the water.”

We visited the Grantham Pointe / Light House, on a weekend in January, 2026. We parked right at the park, where there were about a dozen or so spots. But there is a much larger parking area close by for the adjoining park areas (Palm Island). The parks and parking were free to use and enjoy.

Lovely park to walk and take in sunset views in historic Mount Dora, FL! Nearby a nature boardwalk to look for birds and alligators. Very nice spot to visit! Playground around the corner and water birds to observe or photograph.

Most definitely a place to stop off if you are traveling through Florida in route to another destination. Very close to a very quaint town this park has a variety of different things to do such as over looks of the lake, many little small well-maintained that shows some of the more beautiful wildlife of Florida.

The lighthouse isn't very, big or tall, but the trail next to it is fantastic. Lots of wildlife to see. Gators, vultures, owls, birds, and lots of squirrels.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
