Confirmed from Grant's Trail Mile 10's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Grants Trail is a great way to get a bike ride (short, medium, or long) in metro STL. It connects to other routes to parks and down to the Mississippi River. Since moving here at the end of March ‘25, I’m learning more and more about the path and the various connection points.
Great trail to take a walk, ride a bike, or skate. Cyclist have forgotten trail etiquette and sneak up on you without a courtesy "on your left" Lance Armstrong would be upset.... and if you walk your dog and don't have bags, get them into the grass before they drop a deuce.
A really nice place to park and go to the bathroom before jumping on a fantastic trail for hiking and biking. There are quite a few streets to cross at the beginning if you start at mile 8, but they thin out after about 1/2 mile.
Grant's Trail is a great urban paved bike trail. It is roughly 10 miles from the Kirkwood trailhead to the intersection at Germania for a nice 20 mile out and back all on paved trail. If you continue north of Germania it eventually meets the Greenway near Carondelet Park.

“Pushing her was not the issue, but there are drainage grooves and seams in the asphalt that required lifting the wheels over and frequently coming to an abrupt stop.”

“When going through the Green Park and Lemay trailheads I recommend a bike, but it's still a really nice walk since there is a lot of shade among those segments.”
