Confirmed from Great River Landing's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Picnicking, biking, fishing, and sunsets are available at this spot overlooking the Mississippi and Black Rivers.
What runners say about Great River Landing
“Bathrooms were well maintained and there was an area for young and old to try out their musical skills or just to plunk away some time.”
“Its a beautiful facility with comfortable swinging benches to enjoy the beautiful views.”
“Peaceful and absolutely gorgous view of Lake Onalaska and the Mississippi River.”
Nice place to park and view the Mississippi River. We started here to ride the Great River Trail north
A great place to walk, bicycle or just kick back and watch the river go by. There are five or six xylophones there (I think that's what they're called) that you can play with and a nice walking path along the river.
Great view of the Mississippi and there's some swinging benches on the lookout! Some walking and biking trails along the river (and railroad tracks). Parking lot has about 30-40 spaces but not great condition.
This is a great area for walking/biking by the trains on the path. There is also a nice area to view the trains and river. And the musical instruments and rocking fish for the kids to play on!
