Confirmed from Great River State Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Great River State Trail
“Love its and it's beautiful”
Pretty views and nice and flat for casual biking, walking, and running! I don’t understand the fees though since it isn’t even paved… we pulled our 1 year old in a bike trailer and it worked but it was not a super smooth ride.
Love it, I walk everyday here.. It's peaceful and the cameras make me feel safe when I go for my walk alone!
Sunny the Sunfish marks one of the starting points for the Great River Trail and is a great place to get out and move. The views over Lake Onalaska are hard to beat, and the trail itself is ideal for walking or biking. It’s also a solid environment for working a well-behaved dog on leash in a real-world setting.
From my days of jogging all over on this trail, it basically became my favorite flat trail to run on.
