Confirmed from Green Ribbon Trail & Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Green Ribbon Trail & Preserve
“Incredibly well-maintained trail with very moderate elevation changes, bridges across marshes and creeks, stepping stones across creeks, and well marked transitions.”
This is the beginning of a long trail that follows the Wissahickon Creek south to Fort Washington. Great for hiking and running, but not optimal for bicycles. My favorite parts are the stepping stone creek crossings.
Good trail with several water crossings. Trail is well marked. Be sure to check for ticks afterwards, we pulled 20+ off us and the dogs total.
This trail is a gem. With over 12 miles of trail and so many places to enter the trail, there's so much to explore. This trail is very kid friendly too. Terrain is pretty level in all the sections we've visited and there are many places to enter the creek.
