Confirmed from Green River Natural Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Green River Natural Area

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (52 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 8 mentions

“This is a beautiful short loop with access points to the Green River.”

Another great Winter hike alternative if you want to stretch your legs and snow is keeping you from enjoying the Higher elevations.

From the parking area to the river is over a mile down hill. Once at the bottom really no signs pointing you in the direction of the river. There is a wall of trees and bushes. Going basically straight through what looks like it could have been a parking lot we were able to find a path to the river.

★★★★☆ — Kody , Jul 2023

Green River Natural Area is a nice natural area to visit and photograph. Nice walking trails to Green River. Can hear the sounds from birds.

★★★★★ — Robert , Sep 2019

I grew up going here with my horses and motorcycles ( back then, you could ride without issues) it's a great place that I have the best memories at riding with my friends as children. For the People complaining about horse poop...... it's always been a place that us horse people would ride at.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
