Confirmed from Grove Road Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“Super fun park in a peaceful prairie setting.”

Beautiful well kept park and very peaceful. Lots of walking paths to explore. I hope the future plans for this area gets finished.

Nice out of the way park. Very quiet. I was the only one there on a weekday afternoon. The trails are nice with the best parts being the grassy trails through the woods. There's no shade on the gravel trail sections, so come prepared on a hot and sunny day!

Be on the look of for ticks. I enjoy walking this gravel path with friends but last time I found a tick on my leg afterward. I hadn’t even left the gravel trail so I was surprised.

★★★★★ — Becka , Jul 2025

This hidden treasure is a great little park to go for a walk with your furry friends. The there is washrooms for humans, a pavilion for picnics, and a playground for the kiddos!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
  • SurfaceCrushed gravel — the rail-trail classic: softer than asphalt, still smooth enough for tempo work
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
