We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Guemes Mountain Trailhead yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Love, love, love this trail. It's a quick and easy up and down trail with beautiful views at the top as well as along the way. Several benches along the way and at the top for those who like to take breaks and pictures.

Excellent trail to top of Guemes Mountain. It's about a mile of fast ascending winding trail mostly through the wooded area. Nicely groomed, but still challenging due to steep and rocky stretches. Take your time and you'll be rewarded by the views from the top.

Fantastic trail. 2.2 miles round trip. We biked onto the 3:30 ferry, biked to the trailhead, and were back in time for the 5:00 ferry. Free to use trekking poles which was nice! Other reviews have mentioned steepness, it was sort of steep, but a significantly less steep than Oyster Dome, or Mt. Constitution.

★★★★★ — Jake , Jun 2024

Never quite arrived at the top because Skagit Land Trust Volunteers, were working on the trail... ...as in myself and more than a dozen people carried buckets of gravel & lumber up the trail to make it better for YOU dear hiker !!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
