Confirmed from Gulf Terrace Hike and Bike Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Nice area to run, walk, or bike. Parking isn't the best depending on how busy the trail is or when soccer games are going on. Area has enough space that I don't know why they can't expand the track or add more parking or rest rooms. If you go early watch out for worms or flying spiders.

I just about died on that brisk 2 mile hike. Port a potty at beginning of hike. Beautiful sunset to end the hike. Saw a couple deer grazing out in the field. Nice and peaceful with plenty of benches along the way to sit and rest. Some are even covered benches.

Nice and quiet hard-top trail for walking or running — and bird-watching...Parking can be a little tight depending on time of day and season. During summer hours after 5 p.m. on weekdays parking lot spaces are sparse, but there are plenty along the driveway and Phelan Blvd.

★★★★★ — Stephan , Feb 2019

One of the best trails I’ve found to walk our dog since moving to Beaumont. Well kept, clean, and beautiful. The trail offers a great mix of meadows and stands of foliage, as well as views of ponds.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
