Confirmed from Roger's Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Roger's Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (589 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 4 mentions

“Excellent tennis and basketball courts, and a clean and safe playground for the kids.”

🌳 shaded & cool 5 mentions

“Nice size park and plenty of water but there is no shade so we didn’t stay long.”

Great playgrounds, yes that's plural, there's 2 playground sections, swing section, see saw, tennis/pickleball courts, large open field for sports, large enough for: soccer, football, baseball. They have a dog park on site. They have a couple different pavilions set up around the park.

Lots of trees! Great for hammocking and having a good time. There are tennis and basketball courts. There is a playground, a splash pad (in the summer), a small walking trail, and lots of room to play. This is honesty one of my favorite places!

★★★★★ — Kat , Nov 2020

One of the better parks in the area. Basketball is played nightly during the weekdays and pretty much all day on Saturdays I don't know about Sundays there's a nice playground there's a nice walking trail and there's four tennis courts.

★★★★★ — Boyce , Nov 2023

Went for the grand opening of the dog park with my little dog Crickett. It's a really nice place. Could use some shade definitely but lots of room for the pups to run around. Separate play areas for big dogs and small dogs.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

Plan your run at Roger's Park

The practical stuff

  • AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • At the trailheadrestrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
