Confirmed from Halff Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Halff Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (25 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

This place rocks! Deep into the woods along the creek are some great trails! What a gem!

★★★★★ — Anthony , Jan 2022

Great addition to my normal routine from Spring Creek trails. I can now use trails from shiloh/campbell to here. Just discovered this today and walked for an extra hour. Last stretch is Still under construction as of May 2020. Park is open during covid shutdown (no gate).

★★★★★ — Alexei , May 2020

A very beautiful, albeit, very thin piece of nature. One of the best this area has to offer. Of course that comes with the usual pollution of noise and people, but if you hit in the right times, it can be a nature oasis.

★★★★★ — Willy , Mar 2024

Secluded and quiet, even with it being right off of Belt line and Naaman Forest. Brand new paved trail with median lines, and multiple dirt trails leading off towards the creek with scenic views and a few great looking fishing spots as well. Great trails to take the kids as well as dogs.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
