Confirmed from Roberto Clemente State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Olympic-size pool plus ball fields, picnic areas, playgrounds & a promenade on 25 waterfront acres.
What runners say about Roberto Clemente State Park
“It’s a clean place good maintenance done daily to keep the building clean for the family residence paying rent on time with the help of God’s mercy.”
“Side note - this park has great views of High Bridge and the nearby High Bridge Water Tower for any NYC history buffs.”
I have not been in this park for over 40 years and it looks totally different. I attended a school district event here and got to walk the park. The day was sunny and beautiful albeit hot. It was mostly empty on this day. The only downside is utter lack of parking in the area.
Love this park! It’s one of the Bronx’s treasures ! They have a large public pool, baseball fields, basketball courts and a beautiful playground. There are ample picnic tables for your family or class trip to enjoy lunch or a BBQ. The trails have a lovely view of the Harlem River.
When I first moved to River Park Towers, I found it incredibly fortunate to have a state park as your backyard. In the cooler months like feb-march the park isnt too impressive because like most things in the Bronx, it's neglected until it can become a tourist attraction in the summer.
Beautiful view and great big pool for the whole family. I went to just walk around and catch some sun and look out into the Harlem River. Very cool place. It's under construction 🚧 but what's there looks great so far.

“There is parking available within the park and on the street; the Metro North (Morris Heights stop) drops you off at the entrance.”
“The main building also includes restrooms, Park Ranger office, and an indoor basketball court reserved for park leagues.”

- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
