Confirmed from McKelvey Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Great walking running trail, bathrooms could use a little work little more cleaning but it is a public place.”

Well, I came here last night for a nice strill. They fixed it up pretty well, very clean. Although I am not sure you can bbq out here, but you can picnic, they have tables and canopies you can use. Very well lit, nice place fir walking, running, bike, skateboard, it is a long trail.

This is a Harlingen staple. A clean and family friendly park. It's lit up with Christmas lights on the holidays and it's a great place to take pictures. The trails, if you are adventurous enough and have the resiliency, can take you from one end of Harlingen to the other, ending your trek at the city library.

My family and I absolutely love this park! Just a short drive from Treasure Hills the park covers +10 acres of land, running/cycling trail, has a playground for the kiddos, two cover picnic areas and several tables. Contains a rest room with water fountain.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
