Confirmed from Hawthorn Park- Vigo County Parks and Recreation Department's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Without doubt the best park in Terre Haute, with nice lake, greens, campgrounds and shelters. Just behind of Rose Hulman, this is a nice place to roam around in the trail. Recommended for a nice time near water.

Very peaceful. Keep your eyes open while walking to and from your vehicle. I noticed a couple of people staring at my wife and I. Just be aware of your surroundings. Otherwise, it's beautiful and quiet.

★★★★★ — Robert , Jan 2022

Great trails with awesome ponds for fishing. Fun for the whole family. Also a playground for kids.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
