We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of J I Case Wetland yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Wetland, with flat trails, a lake, ducks and wildflowers, for hikers and kayakers.
What runners say about J I Case Wetland
“Beautiful spot, great scenery, awesome spot to go for an easy hike with the pups.”
This is hands down my favorite place in Terre Haute. As a wildlife photographer, I never expected to be able to get great photos 10 minutes from my house. I kayak out here very often and almost always walk away with some fantastic photos.
Great place to walk and observe herons, wild flowers, occasional muskrat and deer.
I always enjoy watching the animals here! There are a surprising amount of wildlife just roaming around and it’s a great place to just relax after a long day. I would recommend going just to walk around and see what you may run into. Additionally, if you like to take photos, be sure to have your camera ready!
Used to take my dog(s) for walk around lake. Dogs loved it and I met a lot of interesting people.
