Confirmed from He-Nis-Ra Trails' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Area with 2 miles of hiking and biking trails that is good for children.
What runners say about He-Nis-Ra Trails
“Beautiful nature trail that's right in town but feels like it's way out in the country.”
A multi use trail great for mountain bikes, running, hiking and doggy friendly. The trails are somewhat technical for biking and flow well with quite a few hills. XC skiing would be OK but the grooming is hit or miss and the dreaded "Trail Walkers" ruin whatever grooming there is. Snowshoeing would be better.
Great trails for hiking within the city. Be sure to wear bug spray as there are some low spots that bread a lot of mosquitoes. North side of the park has more gill than the south side, a nice little prairie area in the middle.
Good, pretty easy trail, not many large hills or big obstacles to make it a big challenge. Some small hills that you can easily repeat to try and increase the difficulty. Can be very muddy after light rainfalls.
Great place for walking, hiking, Mountain Biking, Cross-country Skiing and walking your pets. Beautiful woods surround you with many hills to challenge you.

- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
