Confirmed from Sherwood Forest Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

This is called a forest because of the beautiful canopy throughout the trails, It has a pond that turns into a creek. A very beautiful and serene place to spend time!!!! Keep note though, you won't find any bathrooms.
A nice walk in a wooden area. You might even get to see some deer strolling along also. There is a pond to fish in, if you'd want to.
Love the new trail they put in. People could be a little more friendly but to be expected for the neighborhood
Personally, I love this trail. The time in the woods is relatively short, approximately 15 minutes one way. There's a boardwalk, and a stream that runs beside it. Once in a while I see deer along the way. Once in awhile kids fish in the pond at the beginning of the trail.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfaceBoardwalk — flat and scenic, and slick when wet, so watch your footing
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
