“The fall festival this past weekend was beautiful!”
I loved Henry County Memorial Park but not just because of the name we share. This park has a small lake with fishing access and walking trails that surround it. The park also has a playground that’s safely away from the pond and wildlife.
We had a blast here. Old fashioned playground, merry go rounds, Nature, hikes, fishing. The perfect place for a picnic. We saw lots of birds, turtles, fish, geese, ducks, and even raccoons. Highly recommend visiting to escape and relax in nature.
Not nearly as nice as going over to the Falls Park particularly after its rained alot, but thats an out of town trip. This park is nice and there are improvements happening. Great place for little pause during the week or a walk on a Saturday.
I enjoy taking my dogs on walks here. Trails are clear and I always count the fisherman fishing by the No Fishing signs.
