Confirmed from Plainfield Township Trail #2's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Scenic paved trail for walking, jogging and biking, plus a picnic area.
What runners say about Plainfield Township Trail #2
“Turn left from the parking lot to go south to Stockertown, a beautiful 4.”
“This trail is great for running, biking or walking.”
“Stress releaser, peaceful ,and a trail to walk, run and bike family connection in the truth of my experiences the best trail in this area”
This is a nice trail for bicyclists or walkers. It has interesting views of the Little Bushkill Creek, farms, wildlife & wildflowers...especially nice in the Spring or Autumn.
I adore this flat, shady rails-to-trails conversion. It's a wonderful and well-used place to walk, run, bike ride, and dog walk, between Pen Argyl, Wind Gap, and Stockertown. The first parking lot, listed as "Plainfield Township Trail #2" in Google maps has a sitting/picnic area and porta-john.
Usually, this is a good trail (four-star rating is based on usual conditions), and I come here two or three times a month to ride. Today is the day after Isaias, though, and the trail is very rough and bumpy, with several spots where the hard gravel is washed away leaving sandy gravel, sand, or mud.
This trail is great for running, biking or walking. If you happen to be going to this trail to go on a run, I would turn left once you get to the end of the place. If you turn right, the trail is nice for a while but eventually it gets kind of rough.
