Confirmed from Heritage Rail Trail County Park Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Dog-friendly park featuring paved walking paths as well as wooded trails.
What runners say about Heritage Rail Trail County Park Trailhead
“Well maintained, good signage, and lots of wildlife to view and photograph if you choose.”
“Had a beautiful day for my walk”
Paved trail near the creek, some hills, none too challenging. Access at John Rudy Park where there's plenty of parking and restrooms.
This park has lots of paved trails and more. It also includes a dog park for your four legged family members. The park is equipped with restrooms and pavilions which can be rented for private parties. They have several playground areas for the children as well.
Good place to walk dog on hot day. Lots of trees and shade. Only concern is parking. Only available parking is on property with several ball fields. Posted signs say cars will be towed if you are not there for an event or activity to do with baseball fields.
We have walked every mile of the rail trail as a family. What an amazing community resource to promote exercise and spending time outdoors.
