Confirmed from Heshbon Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
A secluded, peaceful spot featuring a playground and sporting facilities.
What runners say about Heshbon Park
“Nicely maintained , we ended up taking a nap with a our dog under one of the beautiful trees .”
“Great quiet park and has two separate jungle gyms for the bigger kids and smaller.”
It's a good park. Been going for years. Taking my kids there is great. Its turns into a big mud pit when it rains, but that's gonna happen anywhere. I would give it 5 stars if it had more things for babies/small toddlers to play on. The big play equipment is still too much for tiny walkers/runners who fall easily.
Cute little park, playground area, lots of soccer fields, a sand volleyball court, tennis court (not fenced), and basketball court. Permanent bathrooms and a portapot. Pavilion with picnic tables. Also has access to the Lycoming Creek Railway Trail.
Kids love the climbing, slides and swings. When it rains a lot though, the whole middle becomes a huge puddle. You'll need boots. There are a few picnic tables and benches, some in the shade. There are also tennis courts and a walking path.
Really nice playground. Restrooms available. Basket ball courts soccer fields and access to bike path. There are pavilions and great parking
