Confirmed from Hideout Hollow Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Hiking trail past rock formations and a bluff featuring two waterfalls.
What runners say about Hideout Hollow Trail
“A bit of a hidden gem in that there are beautiful overlooks and a great waterfall to explore!”
Nice and easy hike with two waterfalls at the end. Road to parking is gravel but okayish.
Nice little 2 mile in and back hike to a waterfall. We went on the afternoon of a rainy day and the waterfall was flowing. We did not go over the falls to the cave underneath because the rocks were slick.
Nice trail; one mile each way. It splits in a few spots but you’ll get there. There are two main things to see; a small “lipped” waterfall near to a “hideout” and a much taller waterfall you can see from the top of a cliff. If there is a way down into the bottom area, we did not find it.
Decent trail, not well marked. The Hideout is okay, but the true gem is the LARGE shelter bluff you pass on the way. Rocks are stacked to assist the climb down. Only attempt if your ability allows. Saw a pygmy rattlesnake, so be careful!
