Confirmed from Highland Park Wetland Trails' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Highland Park Wetland Trails

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (20 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

Great place for a nice walk/jog and various spots with exercise equipment..clean restrooms!! And plenty of benches to relax and enjoy the scenery

★★★★★ — Big , May 2024

These walking trails are nestled in the heart of Monroe with a fire station near by. It appears that they are still working on them to improve to overall look and lights are needed for nighttime walks. Great please to exercise, lose yourself, or just getting back in touch with nature.

★★★★★ — J , Jul 2025

Nice, paved circle track. Mostly flat track that isn't challenging at all. Good for any Fitnesslevel. One round is approx 1mile so up to everyone to do 1, 2, 3 rounds or more.

★★★★☆ — Marcus , Jun 2026

Very nice trails. More parking and a few more picnic tables would be nice.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
