Confirmed from Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🪧 well-marked 2 mentions

“Easy to follow Loop with gorgeous view of Beaver Lake halfway through.”

This park is worth the drive. If you like hiking or mtb it’s definitely worth a visit. We went to the visitor center but after meeting a local we were told the trail off Rambo road was a better place to go. Went and rode the 8 mile loop and didn’t disappoint. The trail is a very moderate workout.

Wonderful little area for a day hike or a weekend camping trip. The water at the lake was surprisingly clear! The trails were well marked and well maintained. The campsite we were at, site 4 was a short walk from the lake and had several tent pads.

Great place to visit!! My fiance and I went on a 3 night camping trip on pigeon roost trail. We were in site 3, there were two tent pads, a fire pit, and a pole with hooks. Super beautiful park, their visitors center was amazing. Very friendly staff.

I took last Wednesday afternoon to drop in at Hobbs State Park and Conservation Area after my conference. I stopped in at the amazing visitor center and got a hike in at the Van Winkle historic site. The visitor center was, well, awesome!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
