Confirmed from Shaddox Hollow Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

👟 good for all levels 3 mentions

“Very easy trail for the family and great views.”

Nice trail down to the lake and back up. I did this with my 5 year old, so pretty slow pace, in about 90 minutes. Beautiful views down by the lake, and most of the trail is in beautiful forest. Great in fall when the leaves are changing. There is a restroom at the trailhead.

This is an incredible little trail to hike. The walk is a loop and it's quite easy. However there are a couple of steep grade hills that will post a slight challenge, and a steep staircase too. The trail is a loop so you can't get lost, about 1.5 miles so not too long.

Nice gravel loop trail. We clocked 1.4 miles. Very well marked & maintained. The scenery was fine- wish we would have known to take the small blue trail to see the lake. Not sure if we’ll be back, but it was a pleasant experience.

Smaller one 1.5mi, but good trail for families especially with small kids. Our elder one enjoyed the hike. Trail markers are available throughout. Also there is a rest room at the trail head

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

⛰️ Hills / elevation 17 mentions

“There are a few spots where it's a pretty steep uphill, so I wouldn't recommend this as a first hike for anyone, but if you do them a fair amount, it's perfect.”
