Confirmed from Holly Recreation Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Vast woodland area for hiking, fishing, biking & camping, plus a disc golf course & lake beach.
What runners say about Holly Recreation Area
“The views were absolutely stunning, I didn't get in the water but I definitely plan to next time I go.”
“The campsites are spacious and surrounded by plenty of trees, offering privacy and shade on almost every site.”
Had the best hike on the Lakeshore trail. Super well-kept trails. Lots of bathrooms. Beautiful views. Really enjoyed. Will be back.
Holly Recreation Area has plenty in offer with disc golf, hiking, walking, swimming, volleyball, kayaking, biking, play ground and picnic areas in the summer and snowshoeing and cross country in the winter. The park is pretty however, the map is rather difficult to follow.
"This place is ideal for a family day out. Admission is free and it has different areas to enjoy the outdoors. It's perfect for a family picnic, as there are picnic tables and charcoal grills. The views are beautiful and there's plenty of green space to run and play.
Very nice park with a beach. There is also a hike surrounding the lake. Bug spray is a must as there are plenty of mosquitoes on the way. Very picturesque lake. There is also restroom near the beach area
