We visited Independence Oaks recently to visit Lewis E. Wint Nature Center. Upon arrival there was lots of construction going on with the building, but the center was still open.
Make sure you have a license plate, yearly or daily pass. They come around and get very upset if you misunderstood you had the incorrect passport on your license and will leave what feels like passive aggressive "tickets" on your vehicle. Just fair warning. I love this park so much.
Our second grade classes took a trip to Wint Nature Center, and we could not have been more happy with our experience! The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and were so accommodating when we had unexpected timing changes. Thank you to all the staff!
