Confirmed from Hollyhock Hollow Sanctuary's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring well-maintained trails with creek views, wildflowers, and rock formations.
What runners say about Hollyhock Hollow Sanctuary
“Gorgeous little creek filled with all different shaped and sized rocks, and a pretty simple trail with a few places that let you down closer to the stream itself.”
“Well marked trails criscrossing each other at various intervals throughout the sanctuary.”
“Quiet, serene walk through so much nature.”
“Nice easy hike with interesting quarry.”
Ample parking in the provided lot on a weekday. I took the white loop that starts across the Rarick Road first. I only saw 2 other people on this trail (and 2 later on the creek trail). Easy forest walk, mostly flat with some stones and tree roots. It was surprisingly not muddy and few bugs.
Beautiful nature walk, with wildflowers, rock formations, and a creek. The trails are well maintained.
Great little walk. Did the white marker trail opposite the parking lot white is avout 1m5 miles then did the walk along the creek which was short bit very scenic.
This is a beautiful spot not far from where we live in Delmar New York. The trail along the creek is beautiful and follows it for quite a ways. That trail is a little bit rocky, but the other trails are much smoother if that’s a concern to you.
