Confirmed from Schodack Island State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 6 mentions

“Quiet, clean, lovely hikes, good birding, and a quick walk right up to the Hudson (see pictures) with so much more to explore.”

Very nice campground but expect the noise from the bridges to wake you throughout the night. It seemed like the bathrooms were recently renovated with touchless faucets and toilets. Everything was very clean and neat.

Park is beautiful and full of wildlife. Everything from birds, rabbits, snapping turtles and black bear. Amazing, well groomed trails to hike, bike or horseback on. Campsites are ample size and relatively private. Very well maintained, and restrooms/shower houses are immaculate. Very friendly staff. Love this place.

I have been to a bunch of NY State parks and let me tell you the facilities here are the beat I've ever encountered. The park is on the smaller side, but the restrooms and sites are very well kept. The firewood and ice delivery service is great! I would highly recommend.

Very nice campground. If you have a boat it's excellent. I enjoyed the live music on fireman's Fridays. Staff friendly. Cool that they deliver wood right to your campsite. Sites were large and staggered so you are not directly across from one another. Makes backing a trailer in easier.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 14 mentions

“For those that need it, no wifi but there is a nearby library and our data worked everywhere but the bathrooms.”
