Confirmed from Moh-He-Con-Nuck Nature Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Moh-He-Con-Nuck Nature Preserve
“Nice place with well-marked trails and different kinds of terrain and habitat.”
Driving to Albany Google suggested a route that was 4 minutes longer and since I was early, I took this route and found Moh-He-Con-Nuck Nature Preserve. The dirt parking area has an accessible porta potty and signage about the park including a map of the park.
Soggy trails and some serious mayfly action didn't stop the peziza badia fruiting, and the chipmunks chirping. A neat assortment of smashed and a few intact bottles of varied origin up at the end of the yellow lake trail.
Nice place with well-marked trails and different kinds of terrain and habitat. It was a little muddy on the trail entering the rest of the preserve, and we found that the larger Hilltop Loop abruptly stopped, so we had to turn around. Not many views of the lakes.
Just love all the wildlife here. Very well marked short trails. There's also a stand of trees planted in a row probably by the CC Corps. Nice place for a short hike in the woods.
