Confirmed from Hoover Forest Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Nature area featuring horseback trails, prairies and camping, plus educational programs.

Hoover is a nice little nature spot. Great prairies, tons of flowers, awesome forest, great path to the river, train tracks with a tunnel, educational centers with a bunch of cool information, bees, peace and quiet, and there's always parking! 😀 whatcha waiting for? An invitation? GO!
Randomly stumbled upon this park one afternoon and we LOVED it!! Paved walk ways, great views, friendly staff, and even friendly people there walking. We toured a little on our own of the cabin areas for rental groups.
This is a great place for a quick tent camping weekend. Loved the space and nature walks. Fishing and hiking and lots cool places around to have fun.
Late autumn walking in the Hoover forest preserve :fresh air and quiet. Enjoying life!
