We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Hosah Park yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Quiet park boasting a sandy beach near trails.
What runners say about Hosah Park
“Very quiet, peaceful and clean.”
“please fix this beautiful park!”
“Quiet beach with lots of trails!”
I take my dog to the beach at Hosah Park, frequently. He loves swimming there and we both like walking the beach northward where we can reconnect with the trails in North Dunes State Park. Excellent!!!
Quiet beach with lots of trails! Dog friendly section as well which was nice! Beach was very clean
Great beach. Almost always a place to get away from a crowd. Not that there has ever been a crowd when I was there the most cars I've ever seen is about 20 and some of them were there to walk the trails. One of the nicest places in IL.
Something inside of me was saying I have to go to Hosah park! my husband and I we saw a woman walking behind us with a dog! She told us she lost her keys! So we started helping her. My husband found her keys right on the shore. Moral of the story, when God tells you to go somewhere! Go!
Trail conditions & character
“But it's also a great place to bring dogs so they can play in the water.”
