We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Ice Age Trail - Blackhawk Segment yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Ice Age Trail - Blackhawk Segment
“I enjoyed a refreshing hike along this picturesque trail along with capturing the beautiful scenery; my friend and I explored the 3 mile loop closest to the parking lot.”
I enjoyed a refreshing hike along this picturesque trail along with capturing the beautiful scenery; my friend and I explored the 3 mile loop closest to the parking lot. I would highly recommend the path for the views and workout! There are a few benches along the trail and several toward the end of the trail!
An excellent and quite simple route for one to trevail in the woods yet also vast and intricate, far & wide, much to explore and also gives quite the secluded atmosphere to get away from people& things and be at peace with God👑🌹🤍
The IAT is a Wisconsin gem! Each segment different; varied in length & terrain, volunteer maintained, and just plain gorgeous! Check out a segment or two near you, and catch the bug!
Nice short hike around Lake La Grange. The shortest ia about 3 miles with 177 ft elevation gain. Other than a few spots with sand or loose gravel, the trail was relatively easy.
