Confirmed from Incline Trail Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Hiking trail following a former railroad bed with summit views, plus swimming access.
What runners say about Incline Trail Trailhead
“Beautiful views at the top, clean trails and clear markers.”
This trail is perfect for a quick leg workout. It’s essentially a 10-15 minute stair master session but…you know…without having to using a goofy stair master. Good luck running down it though. Not for the faint of heart (or faint of knees). Unless, of course, there’s 1-3 feet of fresh powder in which case SEND IT.
So fun! Hikedit with kids (age 2,5,7) no problem. Beautiful views at the top, clean trails and clear markers. Followed someone else’s advice and went up summit trail and down incline and it worked out great.
Great trail and great workout. About 2.5 hours and a bit steep on way up but worth it for the views
Great spot for a hike and a swim. Easy access to water. I throw my paddleboard on the calm water all the time. The downside to the swimming area is how voices carry. Children crying and adults screaming at their children is next level.
Trail conditions & character
“Amazing work out of you want to get a little burn and the views from around the mountain are amazing.”
“Incline trail is tough but summit trail is great for those not looking for a really tough workout.”
