Confirmed from Indian Rocks Beach Nature Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Nice walk on a boardwalk through mangroves, I took a pic of the map at the entrance before entering. We enjoyed the views on the bay half way through the walk. Flat, handicapped accessible, benches located along the route for those who need to rest along the way. Dog park and children's playground also on the premises.

Lovely little walk through a really cool environment. We took my nephews and got to see a lot of wildlife (crabs, snake, heron, etc.) considering where we were and how short the walk is. Parking is free and ample with a dog park and restrooms. Other end gives access to a nice playground as well.

I lived down the street from here for years and have never been. I've always passed it up. Im so glad i stopped by! The boardwalk trail is a lot longer than you would think. Many benches along the way to just sit and enjoy. The mangroves are stunning and right across the street is the beach. What more can you ask for 😍

Nice little park, the tourists never seem to come here even though it's on the island. It makes for a nice place to take a walk in nature.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🪵 Boardwalk 15 mentions

“Can't forget about the boardwalk also unfortunately I was not able to check it out because although the park is dog friendly on leash that is, the boardwalk however is Not.”
