Confirmed from Istokpoga Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“This park is a quiet little gem - and apparently quite the fishing spot as well!”

Very cool park. It's a cool park but don't expect it to be big because it's not. It's just kind of a place you take your boat to in order to get out on the water and there is one dock that is fairly long but it's not meant for a lot of people. And by a lot of people I mean it's not meant for more than 10 people.

Most boaters use this as the main public boat ramp to access Lake Istokpoga - the parking lot is often filled with trucks and attached boat trailers. That said, this is also a good area for fishing from the dock, as the dock extends along the boat ramp/canal out a significant way to the lake.

This park is a quiet little gem - and apparently quite the fishing spot as well! As someone who works "in the field" - it's a nice spot to write notes or eat lunch. There are relatively clean bathrooms, beautiful scenery, and if you need to stretch your legs, take a walk down the boardwalk.

Nice park with interesting trees and a picnic area. Has a hiking path, but it's a short walk. Dock needs major work, as the wood is rotting and damage. Mainly a fishing lake.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
