Confirmed from Ithan Valley Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Nice well maintained trails and fishing spot”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 4 mentions

“Short easy hike with beautiful water running alongside the trails.”

🌳 shaded & cool 4 mentions

“Very shady so that's a plus, but the plants were encroaching on the trails in some areas, making for a not as enjoyable hike.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 5 mentions

“It's right near the highway, taking away some of the quiet I associate with nature, but there's a lovely creek and some decent, snaking trails.”

👟 good for all levels 4 mentions

“Easy trails and a small "waterfall" my grandkids enjoyed the trail”

Nice small waterfall and clean water. The hike is very easy good place to come with kids.

Short, but very enjoyable trail here. The waterfall is my favorite part of this trail. I especially love the waterfall in the summer. That's when I dip in this creek, just below the waterfall. There are some park benches, to enjoy a lunch here as well.

Short easy hike with beautiful water running alongside the trails. There is noise form the Newbury road, but that road also makes the park easily accessible.

★★★★☆ — Robert , Oct 2022

The park is beautiful. Someone, Township or individual volunteers, has made improvements that allow reasonable access to healthy individuals. If the numerous paths were moderately improved, most of the park could be made, if not wheelchair accessible, close to it. Definitely worth a visit!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
