Confirmed from Jackass Hill Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Scenic

The distant mountains of the Front Range are visible from this tract of public open space.

What runners say about Jackass Hill Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (262 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 14 mentions

“And the field was flat, so anyone with mobility issues should be able to navigate this to get to the edge that has a beautiful view”

It's a field, with awesome mountain views, the dog enjoys walking here. Not any amenities, but if you are interested in a good place to see the sky and mountains I recommend this "park". Just finished another walk here, beautiful sunsets

★★★★☆ — Don , Apr 2022

This place has an amazing view of the front range. It’s a small, open space that feels like a natural park. It’s a great place to take a quick break and enjoy the scenery. The only trails are dirt, so it’s not suitable for those who prefer paved paths. But don’t let that fool you - the view is one of the best in town!

★★★★☆ — Eddie , Mar 2025

Mostly here for the name. Genius! Also, its a great open space to do an easy hike. Dirt trails, great views Seems like a perfect park to walk your dog

★★★★★ — Casey , Jun 2025

Park is mostly fields of sunflowers and preserved for revegetation, but there are a few short trails that lead you to the edge with a beautiful view from which to watch the sun set. Bring a picnic, blanket, and/or camping chairs to sit back and enjoy the view.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 31 mentions

“When you want an amazing view of the hogbacks and mountains and the western skies above from Littleton this is the place.”
