Such a cute little hidden gem in Macon. We went through Camellia Garden to get to it so parking was much easier. It is beautiful and even though it was cool today it was perfect for little feet. They played in it for a good 30 minutes or so before we left. Would be a great spot for photography sessions also.
Andrew Jackson apparently stopped by this area and discovered the spring here (hence the name). It's a small little park; no parking, but you can park in the streets nearby. They're Isa nice walking path, nothing big, but perfect to get away for a bit and enjoy nature.
It was delightful. The weather was perfect! Parking was weird, you have to take Parkview Rd and then take the first right and you'll end up at Camellia Garden park, which is where there is parking. There really isn't any parking at Jackson Springs, but it's just a short walk from Camellia Gardens.
A quiet spot nestled on the side of the road. Looks like it was built over 2 decades ago and nature is taking it back in subtle ways. Over all, well maintained. Not very big, but then again....magic comes in many forms. The park houses a few stone sitting areas.
