Confirmed from Jacob's Crosscut Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Jacob's Crosscut Trail
“We did make it to our destination, and we got to experience the beautiful flowers.”
The trail is described as moderate but it felt a bit above moderate to us. Either way, we were glad we did it. See my pic for time and elevation details
Great area and trail to spend some time. I’m a fast hiker so it only took me a few hours to the Cave and back. Parking is limited to about 10 cars so be prepared. Seemed like most people were returning to their vehicles about 11:30 after their hike so may be a good time to get a spot if your not an early bird.
This small parking area affords access to trails through beautiful desert scenery. No facilities, bring everything you will need.
Such a beautiful trail! However there’s LOTS of small little trails going on the sides and it’s easy to go off trail. Happened to us, we were climbing extreme rocks and we had to turn around and find the trail again. The signage is good at the beginning but then you don’t find anymore signage.
