Confirmed from Treasure Loop Trail #56's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“At 62 years old it was a very enjoyable and fairly easy hike if you are in shape.”

I must be a little slow cause it took me awhile to figure out the entry to this trail through the wooden gate . After that it was good. I took the more uphill route for the challenge on the way up. I had the trail to myself. It was gorgeous. There was no bugs or any sneaky animals. I did see a lizard and some birds.

Amazing. Do it at sunset you will not be disappointed. Very well marked and maintained trail, that's why you pay $10 to get into the park- clean and beautiful! Nice easy to moderate hike, if you have hiking boots wear them because it is pretty rocky toward the top of the loop but could get by in sneakers.

★★★★★ — Courtney , Mar 2021

Moderate 2.4 mile hike that is well marked with elevation gain of 500 feet. Absolutely beautiful scenery. There’s no shade, so make sure that you bring plenty of water and wear proper hiking shoes. The views at the top are amazing and surprisingly you will find a bench at to the top.

★★★★★ — Maria , Oct 2025

There are several hikes to the Superstition Mountains east of Mesa Arizona. These are accessed primarily through the Lost Dutchman State Park. Fee for day pass was $20 and there was plenty of parking in the various parking lots available.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
