Confirmed from Jacobus Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Tree-lined park offering a mixed-use trail, pond & athletic field, plus a playground & wading pool.
What runners say about Jacobus Park
“The park is well shaded so even on the hottest days it's a great way to get some fresh air.”
Lived close by years ago and became a favorite place back then and found it is still beautiful today when on a recent walk. Many trails throughout, peaceful and rustic and larger than it originally appears.
Very nice piece of nature right in the residential area. I saw 3 turtles sunbathing last weekend. Several short walking trail, great for small kids or daily meditation walk.
I am an avid park enthusiast who visited nearly all Milwaukee County Parks. Jacobus Park hits #4 on my top ten list. Jacobus has everything for kids: playgrounds, wading pool, sand pit, picnic areas, baseball fields, and most importantly hiking trails that are kid-appropriate which take you to a pond and a river.
Great trail, stroller was no problem for the most part. If the Zoo is busy, you can bet on Jacobus Park! Fish, Turtles and Birds. #ILikeTurtles
