Confirmed from James M. Robb - Colorado River State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Checked in per the sign, and let me tell you, these folks thought I was the coolest cat without even paying a dime! Not the most dog-friendly spot, but if you're a furry friend, you're welcome to tag along. The views of the lake and the Grand Canyon (Grand Junction is its gateway) are absolutely stunning.

★★★★☆ — Superbest , Oct 2024

A nice campground, spacious and well maintained. Each site has a shelter, picnic table, and a fire pit. Clean air-conditioned bathhouse. Small playground. Beautiful park on its own with trails along 2 lakes and the Colorado River. A short drive to the Beautiful Colorado Monument. No WiFi.

★★★★★ — Raquelli , Oct 2024

James M. Robb is a beautiful state park with a very nice and clean campsite for fifth wheels, campers, and RVs. There's plenty of parking, including a huge parking lot for multiple cars and RV's next to the boat ramp into the Colorado River. There's a clean and well taken care of playground for kids to enjoy.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
