Confirmed from Jensen Trailside Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Well kept, multiple fenced areas for dogs of all sizes and dispositions.”

🌳 shaded & cool 3 mentions

“Need more shade trees planted in center sections all 3 areas”

We took our dog to the dog park there. It was a great place for him to run and play with other dogs. It's sad that everyone don't pick up after there dogs though. Have to watch your step for sure. Lots of doggy poop laying around.

★★★★★ — Aundrea , Jun 2018

Pet Friendly Mesquite NEVADA public park. 2 fenced areas for large and small dogs. Benches and a covered Pavilion for shade. Fun for the dogs and people, too. And now the city is expanding it - more room for the big guys to run.

★★★★★ — Virginia , Mar 2017

Beautiful place to take a walk they do need to replant the grass there there's a lot of mud when it gets wet but other than that it is a good place to bring your dog.

★★★★★ — Joe , Dec 2018

Lots of park choices for all sized dogs. A bug run for playing fetch sections for big and small to separate. Lots of water access and shade.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
