Confirmed from Jewell Park Mountain Bike and Hiking Trail.'s own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Hiking and bike trails for a range of experience levels through nature-filled, hilly surroundings.
What runners say about Jewell Park Mountain Bike and Hiking Trail.
Trails are in good condition. It took me 15 minutes to go around on a bike. A lot of ups and downs. I road it twice. Came here early on a Saturday and I was the only person around.
Great trail with some challenging climbs and very fast descents. A bit on the short side distance-wise but, could be ridden multiple times. Definitely worth checking out.
Great trail, very hilly. I would rank this a difficult. Did 3.27 miles 1 hrs 13 mins. 325 elevation. Lots and lots of trees. Was not very busy at all. I only saw 2 other people. I'm going to come back here to get ready for hiking outside of Boulder Co. This trail will help with my stamina.
Trail is rated as difficult and it matches that rating! I loved the ride and there are some beautiful views on the trail.
Trail conditions & character
“Very narrow trail with steep hills, definitely made for bikes but super enjoyable for us hikers as well.”
“The signs at Jewell Park do say "difficult" so I would not recommend bringing children or dogs here unless they're used to this type of terrain.”
“Went there for the hiking/mountain biking singletrack trail.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
