We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Mast Yard State Forest trailhead yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Mast Yard State Forest trailhead
“This is an easy walk through varied habitat that includes different kinds of woods (dense understory/little understory), powerline cut, pond, and stream.”
Nice, easy trail to "hike". Not fond of the chunk that goes under all the power lines but the rest that is in the woods is nice. Not marked well. I had to open All Trails to navigate to make sure we were on the right trail. I'd imagine it'd be really fun snowmobile trails.
This is an easy walk through varied habitat that includes different kinds of woods (dense understory/little understory), powerline cut, pond, and stream. It's a great place to go birding and especially good for whip-poor-wills and owls.
A good place for an easy hike and for taking photographs during any season. Usually very quiet.
Beautiful place to Walk but they've logged it to heavy which is very sad not as much wildlife anymore
