Confirmed from John Yarbrough Linear Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“One of the few places in Fort Myers that I truly enjoy coming back to for peaceful walking, hiking, and skating.”

John Yarbrough Linear Park is a great place to take a nice walk with your people or your pups. Also it's the perfect place to ride your bicycle. The 10 mile paved trail follows a canal which is a haven for wildlife. The path crosses over several roads as you travel in either direction.

ATTN: This is a linear park! It's a long line! Plan accordingly! This is a beautiful place that runs alongside a large canal and is wooded on one side. It's perfect for riding your bike, rollerblading, walking your dog, or going for a run. I've even seen people go fishing in here but I'm not sure they're allowed to.

This park is a great place to ride your bike, fish, run, walk, and many other things! Dogs are allowed which is great for pet owners! The park is runs along the train tracks which actually crosses over many roads. You can always have a peaceful time while being here. Everyone I have encountered are very friendly.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
