What runners say about Juniper Trailhead
This is a great way to access the Maston trail network from the North end, but if you need a bathroom, drive to Maston Trailhead. It's usually less active than it's southern counter part and more opportunities for a shady parking spot. In the past, these trails were only ride-able in the early and late season.
What can you say? Basic Trailhead with access to Great Trails. No water or bathrooms so come prepared. Trails are good in the winter as it does not snow much and they are Sandy so they drain well. Summertime it's hot and Dusty and not so great.
Just a PSA. Your off leash dogs don’t understand the clicks and kissy noises you use at home. Also, even if they could understand, they still don’t listen. There are no bad dogs only bad owners.
Beautiful trails that have tons of wildflowers in the spring/early summer. The evergreen junipers make it a pretty hike year round. You eventually reach the river, I think it was about 3 miles to the river from the parking area. Great trails for mountain bikers, runners and hikers.
