Confirmed from Riverfront Parks and Trails at Eagle Crest Resort's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Riverfront Parks and Trails at Eagle Crest Resort

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (105 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 14 mentions

“The water is a little shape at the moment for serious floating but it is still beautiful and the wildlife activity is high.”

This is a very nice leisurely walk, especially with dogs with great parking at the resort. It goes along the River with lots of birds. Very peaceful and a great way to relax. Best midday in the wintertime

Superb place to visit or stay longer term. Has homes, condos, and hotel rooms. Features a luxury golf course, many pools and hot tubs, workout centers, picnic areas, and more. About a 45 min drive to Mt Bachelor Ski Resort. About 14 miles to downtown Bend.

★★★★★ — Jerry , Dec 2017

Absolutely gorgeous when you get down the hill. I do not reccomend this for elderly or someone unfit or has health issues. Bring an inhaler if you have exercise Induced asthma. They have a sign saying to not walk up the hill if you have health issues.

★★★★★ — Jasmine , Aug 2024

Beautiful walk along the river. Nice, scenic trail with occasional picnic tables. Save some energy for the end of your walk because you have to hike back up and out of the canyon. The south trail was out and back with an exception. There is a lesser improved trail that loops back.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
