Confirmed from Katy Boardwalk's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Public park offering wildlife viewing and kid-friendly hikes, as well as walking trails.
What runners say about Katy Boardwalk
“I discovered this beautiful place about two years ago, but even today, on a Google satellite map, we still see this place without ponds.”
“This is such an amazing and quiet spot for getting in some exercise and spending time in nature.”
Nice trail just a short walk from my hotel. Not crowded at all. I didn’t see any alligators or snakes, but did spot some turtles and some very hyped up geese. Seriously, watch those three, they’re looking to fight. They even swam across the pond to harass me after they harassed me on the other side.
This is such an amazing and quiet spot for getting in some exercise and spending time in nature. I’ve seen many birds here but most frequent are the great white heron and the great blue heron. It’s such a nice setup and you can see turtles and tons of dragonflies and black butterflies in the summer.
Katy is growing so fast. I discovered this beautiful place about two years ago, but even today, on a Google satellite map, we still see this place without ponds. Although now they have a few ponds and a good trail around them, and they have already made a parking lot here and even an apartment building next to it.
Really beautiful place to go hiking. The view is just so amazing. I'll definitely be coming back to this park, but I'm scared of reptiles lol. Just beware of snakes and alligators in the water
